Formation and Detection of Hydrogen by Oxygen Discharge Using Oxygen Pump-Sensor

چکیده
An oxygen pump sensor was constructed using yttria-stabilized zirconia, which is an oxide ion conductor, and discharged from steam to generate hydrogen. The consisted of a that discharges controls the partial pressure by having electrodes in two places. Oxygen applying current controlling potential sensor. Hydrogen then generated water vapor. Furthermore, installed second stage, supplied pump, amount hydrogen measured situ. This measurement showed atmosphere decreased as generated. Specifically, vapor more at 30.8 vol.% than 12.2 vol.%. Moreover, amounts inversely correlated with potential.

Nox4: A Hydrogen Peroxide-Generating Oxygen Sensor
Nox4 is an oddity among members of the Nox family of NADPH oxidases [seven isoenzymes that generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) from molecular oxygen] in that it is constitutively active. All other Nox enzymes except for Nox4 require upstream activators, either calcium or organizer/activator subunits (p47(phox), NOXO1/p67(phox), and NOXA1). Nox4 may also be unusual as it reportedly releases h...
متن کاملPlatinum-oxygen Bond Formation: Kinetic and Mechanistic Studies
Reaction of [PtMe(C^N)(SMe2)] (C^N = 2-phenylpyridinate (ppy); 1a, C^N = benzo[h]quinolate, (bhq); 1b) with hydrogen peroxide gives the platinum(IV) complexes trans-[PtMe(OH)2(C^N)(H2O)] (C^N = ppy; 3a, C^N = bhq, 3b) bearing platinum-oxygen bonds. The Pt(II) complexes 1a and 1b have 5dπ(Pt)→π*(C^N) MLCT band in the visible region which is used to easily follow the kinetic of its reaction with ...
متن کاملTreatment of Protein Using Oxygen Plasma Produced by RF Discharge
Removal of proteins from the surface of medical equipments are attempted using oxygen plasma produced by RF discharge. FTIR spectra indicate that the bonds of C-H and N-H in the casein protein are reduced after irradiation of oxygen plasma. Also, the second order structure of a protein such as α-helix and β-sheet are modified by the oxygen plasma. Complete removal of protein as remnants on the ...
متن کاملDetection of oxygen traces in nitrogen and hydrogen-rich atmosphere
Tin oxide sensors are evaluated to detect traces of oxygen in the range 0–100 ppm both in nitrogen and hydrogen (4.5 vol% H2 in N2) atmospheres. In nitrogen, significant relative responses to oxygen are measured at 623 K and 723 K. However, at lower temperature, 523 K, the response strongly decreases. In the presence of hydrogen, on the contrary, interesting responses are measured at 523 K. At ...
متن کاملHydrogen sulfide as an oxygen sensor in trout gill chemoreceptors.
O2 chemoreceptors elicit cardiorespiratory reflexes in all vertebrates, but consensus on O2-sensing signal transduction mechanism(s) is lacking. We recently proposed that hydrogen sulfide (H2S) metabolism is involved in O2 sensing in vascular smooth muscle. Here, we examined the possibility that H2S is an O2 sensor in trout chemoreceptors where the first pair of gills is a primary site of aquat...
